The Pilgrim is a graceful English Climbing Rose from David Austin producing soft yellow blooms that open as many petalled cups and mature into large flat rosettes with paler outer edges. The scent is medium strength with a gentle blend of Tea and myrrh. This climber reaches height quickly yet continues to flower and leaf lower down the plant which makes it a reliable choice for walls arches fences and pillars. Suitable for full sun or partial shade across all aspects and soil types it was introduced in 1991 and named for the pilgrims in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales.
