Description:
Cellist Enrico Dindo, who has a CD on Decca, appears on DYNAMIC, and the music is Dvorak's Cello Concerto! Enrico Dindo was born in Turin in 1965. In 1997, he won the first prize at the "Rostropovich International Cello Competition" in Paris. He has performed with orchestras conducted by Rostropovich, Riccardo Chailly, Gianandrea Noseda, Myung-Whun Chung, and Paavo Järvi, as well as at various music festivals. He is also passionate about conducting, and in 2001 founded I Solisti di Pavia, of which he is the music director. He has recorded Bach's Suites for unaccompanied cello and the cello concertos of Vivaldi, C.P.E. Bach, and Haydn for Decca Italy, and now DYNAMIC is releasing one of the cellist's most important repertoire, Dvorak. Backed by the Orchestre de Toscana conducted by Daniele Rustioni, the cellist sings with great clarity in the concerto, and in the margins, in addition to the classic "Silence of the Woods" and "Rondo," he includes "Leave Me Alone," which Dindo himself arranged for the cello. The beautiful melodies are listened to slowly and carefully. Naxos Japan
