The Canadian-born singer/songwriter/musician Neil Young began his career in a band performing covers of The Shadows instrumentals before moving to California, USA to co-found the Buffalo Springfield band. He later joined Crosby Stills & Nash as the fourth member in 1969. Immersed in the burgeoning West Coast sound of the times, he went on to forge a successful solo career, noted for his uncompromising & gutsy guitar-playing while exploring various musical styles such as rhythm & blues, Dixieland & folk. His lyrics often belie a sensitive & soulful humanism.

The Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame cites him as being “..One of rock roll’s greatest songwriters & performers”. Young’s career has spanned four decades-plus, & he has been inducted into the Hall Of Fame twice; firstly for his work as a solo-artist, & secondly for his founding of Buffalo Springfield.

He continues to sell-out tours, sometimes touring with his band Crazy Horse, with whom he recorded the seminal album ‘Rust Never Sleeps’ in the late 1970s.
