Both volumes have raised bands with additional gilt motifs between them (hinges fine, overall slightly worn and scuffed - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover.
Content: Good to very good content (bright, tight, and clean, foxing mainly on the frontispiece portrait and his tissue guard paper due to the different types of paper used - as shown, old bookseller stamp for Philip and Solomon's Metropolitan Book Store of Washington D.C. on front endpaper - as shown).
