The Geekvape Zeus Sub-Ohm Tank 5 is the latest iteration of Geekvape's long-running Zeus tank series, updated with Z XM Boost push-fit coils and top adjustable airflow. At 29mm in diameter and 56.1mm in height, it is built for direct-to-lung vaping on box mods in the 50-80W range and produces the kind of dense, flavour-forward vapour the Zeus line has been known for since it launched.
The standout upgrade in this version is the Z XM Boost coil system: coils press straight into the base with no threading, swap cleanly in seconds, and are rated to around 60ml of e-liquid per coil. The airflow sits at the top of the tank above the e-liquid line, which means no leaking through the airflow slots when the tank is on its side in a bag or pocket. It ships with two coils in the box, a 0.2ohm XM Boost mesh pre-installed and a 0.4ohm XM Boost as a spare, covering the full DTL wattage range from a comfortable 50W up to 80W.
The Zeus 5 uses top airflow, which is drawn in above the e-liquid level and travels down through conical internal channels to the coil. Because the airflow inlets never sit below the liquid line, there is no path for e-liquid to seep out through the slots when the tank is tilted, stored in a bag, or left lying on its side. The airflow ring rotates to adjust the draw from a tighter restricted DTL inhale through to fully open, making it adaptable to different coil resistances and wattage preferences. The conical shape of the airflow path concentrates air evenly across the mesh coil surface, which is part of why the Zeus line is consistently well-reviewed for flavour consistency.
The Z XM Boost coils are push-fit: press in to install, pull straight out to remove. There is no threading or screwing involved, which makes coil changes faster and reduces the chance of cross-threading. Both coils included in the kit use Geekvape's XM Boost mesh technology, which applies a larger mesh surface area for more even heat distribution and stronger flavour from the first draw. The 0.2ohm coil runs at 70-80W for a warmer, denser DTL experience. The 0.4ohm coil runs at 50-60W for a slightly cooler draw with more restrained vapour production, which many vapers find better for all-day use. Both are rated to around 60ml of e-liquid per coil, which is notably longer than most sub-ohm coils at this price point. The full Geekvape Z Series coil range is compatible, including the 0.15ohm options for higher wattage setups.
The Zeus 5 uses a top push-fill system. The fill cap pushes open and stays attached to the tank body, so there is nothing to lose or set down while refilling. Two fill ports sit in a recessed channel, which catches any drips and keeps e-liquid away from the airflow ring. High-VG shortfills at 70/30 or above are the recommended pairing for this tank at sub-ohm wattages. Lower-VG or 50/50 e-liquids are too thin for the mesh coil at these wattages and can cause flooding or harsh hits. To get the best coil life, prime a new coil by dripping a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the cotton wicking ports before filling the tank, then leave it for a few minutes before the first draw.
The Zeus 5 has a standard 510 connection and fits any box mod. At 29mm in diameter, it sits flush on larger dual-battery mods without overhang. For single-battery mods with a smaller 510 plate, check the device's maximum tank diameter before ordering. The recommended wattage range across both included coils is 50-80W, so any box mod with a 50W+ output will cover the full range. It is not compatible with pod kits, AIO devices, or any device without a 510 connection.
