A gourmet and full-bodied Margaux red wine
Chateau d’Arsac is a cru bourgeois of the famous Margaux appellation, located in the wine region of Bordeaux. The estate's 53 hectares of vines are planted on a wide variety of sandy-clay, marl and limestone soils, with gravelly soils on the surface.

At Chateau d'Arsac, the 2018 vintage was highly anticipated after the terrible frost of 2017, which strongly impacted the property. Frost did not repeat itself this year, but the pressure of a very wet spring put the teams of the Margaux appellation on high alert. The flowering went very well, in the end, and was completely homogeneous. The summer that followed was hot and dry. At the crucial moment of the grape harvest, the weather was perfect, the sanitary conditions could not have been better, and the fruit had reached a perfect stage of ripeness.

For this 2018 vintage, Chateau d'Arsac has selected a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot. The winemaking is carried out in inert vats and the wines are then aged for 12 months, 50% in oak barrels (half of which are new and half with one previous use) and 50% in inert vats.

In the glass, this red garnet Bordeaux wine develops notes of red fruits and some secondary aromas of slightly toasted oak. The freshness of the attack leads to a rather generous mouth, which stretches long into a well-rounded finish.
