Moisture Meter: Watering plants is the number one problem we see with all plant lovers. We even struggle and argue about overwatering and underwatering regularly. So, to settle every debate, we grab one of these soil moisture meters as the ultimate arbiter of truth. 

This meter, aka hygrometer, is straightforward and just measures moisture levels at the depth of the tip and gives you a reading. Most plants like to stay in the green area, while certain plants actually live to veer into the red or blue zones. 

We would recommend allowing succulents, tradescantia, ZZ plants, and snake plants to spend a couple of days in the red before getting it back to a higher green level. 

Carnivorous plants should pretty much never go to the red zones.
