Microgreens are nutrient dense and are great for adding to salads, sandwiches, smoothies, soups, omelets, and curries. Microgreens may be eaten raw, juiced or blended and can be incorporated into a variety of cold and warm dishes. This custom potting blend is a mix of coconut coir, peat moss, perlite, worm castings and lime. These ingredients provide your plants with plenty of organic matter and organic humus while also retaining nutrients, providing excellent drainage, water retention, pH balance and aeration to roots. TIPS:
Spread the soil to a depth of only 2-3 inches. You'll be harvesting the baby seedlings, so they don't need a lot of room to grow roots. Sow microgreen seeds fairly densely, a little less dense for large seeds like sunflowers or Swiss chard. Once your microgreen seeds have been planted, mist the whole area.
