Everything you loved about Act 1 returns, ratcheted up to unreal heights: The combat is silky smooth. The level designs are fine-tuned tributes to Ultrakill’s venerated inspirations. And of course, the music is all the more audacious, in-your-face, and kick-ass.

Breakcore mad genius Heaven Pierce Her returns for the game’s sophomore chapter, bringing even more chill beats and raucous uproaring themes to the table. Gorgeous piano riffs and sick drum breaks abound in Act 2’s unholy libretto. It must be heard to be believed.
