These formations are located in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, 45 miles east of Kanab on HWY 89. If you blink at the wrong moment, you may miss the turn to the trailhead.

These formations are both spectacular and eerie. You almost feel like you’ve stepped onto another planet when you're walking around. Give yourself plenty of time to explore, as you can make your way around the backside for even more amazing formations.
