Dosage

• For extemporaneous use only
• Common dosage range: 0.5 g - 3 g daily; can be taken with or without food
• It is advisable to begin supplementation at the low end of the dose range, increasing if required

Warnings

• Acetyl-Carnitine has not been extensively tested for its effects during pregnancy
• Avoid during pregnancy or lactation, unless confident that its impact can be reasonably deemed to be safe or beneficial
• May interfere with the activity of certain Thyroid medications (T4 and T3), therefore separate doses by at least 2 hours
• May increase the activity of Warfarin, separate doses by at least 2 hours or adjust doses of both as necessary
• Practitioners should conduct ongoing research and take care to follow their practitioner association guidelines for appropriate administration of compounding ingredients
• Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet
