Why do we still love incandescent light?

Because they remain the healthiest, most natural form of "artificial light" available. Even calling them artificial feels wrong; as you'll soon discover, the light of incandescent — and even more so, the uniquely purified, colorful light of Chromalux® incandescent bulbs —  is anything but artificial!

Incandescent (and halogen bulbs, their brighter cousin) emit a full, balanced spectrum of visible and infrared light—something no other full spectrum lighting technology can naturally replicate. Full spectrum LED bulbs emit only a full spectrum of visible light.

Unlike standard full spectrum LED bulbs, which can emit high levels of disruptive blue light and lack nourishing infrared, incandescent bulbs offer a gentle, soothing glow. Chromalux® full spectrum won't strain the eyes, they won't interfere with sleep, and they will support your well-being just like natural sunlight. Both frosted and clear glass Chromalux® bulbs are made with our unique neodymium glass formulation. Neodymium is compounded into the glass itself and is never coated or painted on. This is part of what makes the light of Chromalux® so special.

Choose frosted glass for a softer, smoother feel.

Choose clear glass for a more vivid, "crisp" feel. Clear glass is a few lumens brighter than frosted. Use clear in covered or shaded lamps, as the filament will be visible.

Clear glass = crisp + vivid

Frosted glass = soft + smooth

Both are equally beautiful + natural. Try them all!

Please note that many of our bulbs are incandescent technology. Incandescent light bulbs emit heat, a completely normal function of their nourishing benefits and the infrared energy produced. This means you must wait a few minutes for the bulb to cool before attempting to unscrew or touch after use. If heat and healthy lighting aren't your thing, we suggest trying our LED bulbs instead.
