Why should I fit an EP radiator and oil cooler guard set?

EP radiator and oil cooler guard sets are designed to protect the motorcycle radiator and oil cooler from road debris damage while allowing essential cooling air to pass through. Without quality guards in place the two coolers, especially the cooling fins, can get trashed by road debris. There is also a high risk of a stone chipping, flung from the front tyre or passing traffic, holing either the radiator or oil cooler cores. These fragile and intricate components are very difficult to repair (in most cases they are beyond economical repair) and very expensive to replace - considerably more than the cost of an EP radiator and oil cooler guard set.
