This vintage skirt suit from Christian Dior features a wonderful black and ivory striped fabric - and it comes with the added bonus of a lace shell to wear underneath. The jacket has wide, notched lapels edged in alternating stripes, shoulder pads, and two flap pockets. Closure is with a single frog with a large Chinese knot. Pencil skirt has standout pockets in front of each hip (mannequin size makes these look on the sides, but they will be slightly forward of the hips on the right sized wearer). The skirt appears to have been professionally let out. The only visible evidence of the alteration is a splice on the back of the waistband made with the same fabric as the skirt. The shell is sleeveless and has a lace front. The back is a solid stretchy fabric, so it should fit a range of sizes. I believe the suit fabric is a very lightweight wool or wool blend. No size labels are present, so based on our sizing tables, we are estimating it to be in the 14-16, or XL, range. Please refer to the measurements for additional guidance regarding sizes.
