Criss-crossed “corset” lacing in white trims the front of this fit-and-flare 1950s dress in navy blue, slub-textured rayon. Lots of vertical seams create the curve-hugging shape of the fitted bodice and full skirt (plenty full enough to accommodate a crinoline underneath—although shown here without one). The bodice also features cap sleeves and a wide, scoop neckline. The crisp, lightweight navy fabric has a slubbed surface, similar to linen or silk, but it is definitely either rayon, or a rayon and acetate blend. The dress is unlined, and fastens with a metal zipper at the center back. This ultra-feminine 1950s dress is in excellent condition, with no flaws to note.
