Green and black striped handwoven Nuapatna cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern for this saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree is woven with floral and tribal design on the body highlighted as green and white stripes. Dobby rudraksha design are woven on the border and striped floral designs on saree pallu.
