It’s important to note that Sea-Dog usually expects you to provide your own mounting hardware to match your specific hull or wall thickness:

Mounting Screws: You will need three #8 Flat Head (FH) screws. (I recommend using 316 stainless steel screws to prevent "bleeding" or tea-staining on your gelcoat).
Gasket/Sealant: There is no pre-cut rubber gasket. You should use a marine-grade sealant (like 3M 4200 or Butyl tape) for a watertight seal.
Plumbing Adapters: The back of the unit is a 1/2" FPT connection. If you are connecting to PEX or reinforced hose, you’ll need to purchase the corresponding

Pro-Tips for Installation

Bedding is Key: Always use a high-quality marine sealant (like 3M 4200 or a silicone-based sealant) behind the flange to prevent water from leaking into your hull or wall laminate.
Compatibility: Ensure your interior plumbing is ready for a 1/2" NPT/FPT fitting. You may need a 1/2" NPT male to PEX adapter if you are plumbed with flexible PEX tubing.
Grounding: While not always required for water inlets, if you are bonding your boat’s hardware, keep in mind this is a conductive metal fitting.
