More than just a parcel of land, the Homestead offered a place and space to build a home, and raise a family. Hard work, at times providing bountiful rewards and at other times devastating loss, tested the resolve of early settlers but most of all, the concept of a Homestead captures the resilience and desire to carve out our place in the world.
