A B-Grade snowboard is one that doesn’t meet strict cosmetic quality standards and can’t be classed as A-Grade. Snowboards from Lib Tech and Gnu are handcrafted by real people, and with that comes small variations that may result in minor cosmetic blemishes.

These imperfections do not affect performance or durability. You still receive the full manufacturer warranty, while getting a premium snowboard at a reduced price and helping prevent a perfectly good board from ending up in landfill.

What does a B-Grade look like?

B-Grades may vary in appearance, but you might see one or more of the following:

• Topsheet scuffing
• Off-centre graphics
• Topsheet residue or markings
• Minor rough patches or indents in the topsheet (no more than 10mm wide)
• Minor grind marks in the base (tip of nose or tail only)

These cosmetic marks can occur during manufacturing due to machine tolerances, alignment shifts, or during the finishing process when boards are buffed and cleaned.

Will a B-Grade be worse than an A-Grade?

Absolutely not. Structurally and performance-wise, a B-Grade snowboard is exactly the same as an A-Grade. The differences are purely cosmetic, meaning you’ll never notice any difference when riding.
