Service description

Original Rollei SLX / Rolleiflex 6000-series battery packs are no longer manufactured, and reliable replacements are difficult to source.
This service rebuilds the original battery housing using new industrial-grade Ni-Cd cells, restoring correct operation under camera load.  We worked closely with a French battery supplier to source a cell match to the original.  Cells are spot welded, not soldered.

This service is suitable where a battery may still show a green or “charged” indicator on the charger but fails to power the camera.

12-month warranty. Excludes damage caused by over-charging, excessive charge/discharge cycles, or abnormal load conditions (e.g. repeated high-speed shutter use).

What we do

• Strip and inspect the original battery pack
• Replace cells with 8 × brand-new 1.2 V industrial Ni-Cd cells
• Upgrade capacity to 650 mAh (original approx. 500 mAh, ~16% increase)
• Rebuild and reassemble the original casing
• Capacity-test the completed pack under controlled discharge
• Product a engineers report showing discharged capacity.

Typical tested result: ~659 mAh delivered, discharged to ~8.9 V pack voltage.

Important notes

• This service requires your original battery pack to be supplied
• Cosmetic condition of the casing is retained as-is
• Ni-Cd chemistry is used to maintain compatibility with original chargers and camera electronics
