For sale here is a William A. (Bill) Harms 8' 3/2 5wt hollow-built hex bamboo rod. His "Prima-Dona" model. Serial no. HB 803-001. The rod is in near mint original condition. All sections are full length and straight. 

The rod features straw colored cane with transparent honey-colored wraps with bronze tipping. The ferrules are wrapped in chestnut with bronze tipping. Lastly, there are fine full intermediate wraps in a bronze color. Pale red colored agate stripping guide. The script, over a handsomely swelled butt remains clean and bold. Deeply blued Garrison-style hook-keeper. The cigar grip measures 5 7/8" in length with only the lightest of handling marks. Elegantly blued nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a fine mortised burl wood spacer. The butt cap features "Wm A Harms MAKER" masterfully engraved on the backside. There is very light wear on the rim of the butt cap. The Swiss-style ferrules are size 15/64 and 11/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 4.05 oz. The action is medium fast with a progressive taper. Includes original labeled bag and original labeled tube with a maroon canvas cover.
