Details: The Schatten RB-2A Artist Series Rockabilly Upright Bass Pickup System includes two sensors, one for the bridge and another for the fingerboard, each with its own volume control. A dual channel preamp A rosewood instrument jack assembly clamps between the D and A strings just above the tailpice. The entire system is prewired and requires no soldering or drilling. The RB-2A also includes a high quality onboard preamp with dual volume controls for volume and balance adjustments. The preamp automatically turns on when a cable is plugged into the jack, and turns off when the cable is removed to conserve battery power. The preamp assembly mounts to the underside of the tailpiece with the included industrial strength velcro attachment pads. The main RB sensor element is designed to fit in the wing slot of a bass bridge. Normal placement of the sensor is in the bass side slot. The sensor has a nominal thickness of 0.25" (6.35mm) and requires a slot opening of approximately 0.225" (5.7). The fit of the sensor in the slot is meant to be snug and there is intended to be a slight interference fit. The sensor will compress slightly as it is pushed into the wing slot. Bridge not included. The second sensor element mounts to the underside of the fingerboard for that Rock-A-Billy string slap. Both sensors have a volume control so that you can individually adjust the effect of each pickup.
