This series can be used around Thanksgiving or any time you want to remind your kids of the importance of adopting an attitude of gratitude. These Bible stories highlight the importance of always having a “vibe” of thankfulness and gratitude to the Lord.

It's Giving Thanks Children's Ministry Curriculum Lesson Overview

Memory Verse:

It’s Giving…Tude
Scripture: Numbers 13:26-33, The Spies Report
When the 12 spies returned from the Promised Land, most of them had an attitude of fear and discouragement. Only Caleb and Joshua came with gratitude, believing that God was strong enough to lead them to the land he had promised. What will your ‘tud be? Attitude or Gratitude. 
Objective: Kids will learn “I can choose gratitude, because God is in control.”

It’s Giving…10%
Scripture: Luke 17:11-19, Jesus Heals Ten Men with Leprosy
When Jesus healed ten men of leprosy, only one of them came back to give thanks to Jesus. We need to adopt a thanksgiving mindset, never ceasing to praise Jesus for his goodness. 
Objective: Kids will learn “I can choose gratitude, because of all God has done for me.”

It’s Giving…All the Feels
Scripture: 1 Samuel 1:10-20, 24-28, Hannah
Hannah was overcome with sadness because she was unable to have a child. Hannah brought all of her sadness, pain, and fear to God. The Lord heard her prayers and blessed Hannah with a son, whom she dedicated to God. 
Objective: Kids will learn “I can choose gratitude, because God loves me and hears my prayers.”  

It’s Giving…Peace
Scripture: Job 1:13-21, Job Loses Everything
In the matter of minutes, Job lost everything that was important to him. What did he do in the midst of such devastation? He praised God. Even when life seems to be at its worst, we can always praise God, knowing that He is in control. We may be overwhelmed at the moment, but we can still trust Him. We can trust Him because on our darkest days, we can remember that Jesus faced a dark day too when He died on the cross.  But three days later he kept His promise and defeated death. 
Objective: Kids will learn “I can choose gratitude, even in bad times because God is good and always keeps His promises.”
