These are top quality lifters and recommended for higher lift and duration racing and street performance engines where reducing valve train weight is helpful for keeping the valves from floating.  There is a .024" oiling hole drilled through the lifter body to increase lubrication to the cam lobe.  We also like to use these in street engines where single Hi-Rev springs are used with aluminum pushrods to keep the valve train light and extend the RPM range of the single springs.
