An antique diamond ring originating from the Ottoman Empire, dating to circa 1890, towards the end of the 19th century.
The principal diamond weighs approximately 4.09 carats, measuring 12mm in length, 12mm in width, and 4.5mm in depth. The total diamond weight is estimated at 4.25 carats. Natural inclusions and internal imperfections can be seen within the stone — all acceptable and typical of antique diamonds of this period.
The ring is crafted in 18ct yellow gold and silver, a traditional combination for the time. It is currently a UK size L ½ / US size 6, and comes with a complimentary resize, which can be adjusted up or down to any size with ease.
The head of the ring measures 16mm by 16mm, with a setting height of 8.5mm. It sits proudly on the finger, with a well-proportioned and elegant presence.
In terms of condition, the ring is in very good condition, showing light surface wear consistent with age. All stones are secure and safely set, and the ring has been recently polished and fully checked by our workshop. The setting remains intact, with no damage, and only minor scratches visible under close inspection.
Unless otherwise stated, all gem weights and dimensions are estimated while assessed in the mount.
