Statement basket with a stunning central star motif rendered with pine needles, dyed raffia and pajón, a native grass of the Guatemalan Highlands. Our artisan partners in Sololá designed this practical and functional basket which is also perfect for display. 

The baskets are woven in the Guatemalan Highlands by cooperatives of women who work to support their families and communities. Working within a democratically organized group insures that the income is fairly distributed among all artisans in the coop and allows members to participate in decisions about their work. Coop members share skills and expertise, encourage one another and enjoy mutual support.
