SPENCER® Nexus Anti-Shrinkage Vacuum Mattress. The Two Operator Casualty Transport Mattress. 

The Spencer Nexus is an anti-shrinkage vacuum mattress; the only transport mattress that can be transported by two operators without compromising the stabilisation of the casualty – even when the body is immobilised on a spinal board. 

The Nexus features eight reinforced carrying handles and hook-points around the perimeter that can be used for restrain belts. This is aided by internal wooden supports that ensures it's rigidity and anti-shrinkage properties. The robust handles ensure a safe and secure grip during handling, even when in critical situations.

The two lower parts of the Nexus vacuum mattress are made from strong nylon and coated with poly-vinyl, this ensures durability and longevity. Embedded inserts in the lower side of the mattress are designed to offer further support to the casualty and limit any retraction of the mattress during decompression procedures. 

Included are three 50mm nylon safety straps, a vacuum pump and heavy duty nylon transport bag. The shape of the Nexus helps to ensures casualty comfort by moulding to the shape of the body with a maximum load capacity of 150kg.

Fitted with an on/off valve made of chromed brass and made from non-absorbent fabric that is also self-extinguishing.
