The first eight colors inspired by our OG color-separating blend, CfM Riverbed! We wanted to try our hand at making even more layered colors—and once we got going, we couldn't stop! Team members were texting ideas, swatches and color scraps covered our work tables, and our resident poets began thinking up fun names . . . while in the span of a week two colors turned into three which turned into seven . . . you get the idea! Add a Mini Matte Gold Travel Brush to the middle row, and get playful with this dynamic starter set!

CfM Ultra-Blends are custom colors with endless possibilities! Use them with just a bit of water for full, even saturation, or add more water (and a bit more!), let it all pool and dry undisturbed on your paper, and discover worlds upon magical worlds as the colors separate and settle out!

Some of our premade sets and custom blends contain colors which are not lightfast. Fading can be reduced by coating finished pieces in a UV protective varnish and/or keeping them out of direct sunlight. You can view a list of non-lightfast colors here.

All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!

All of our watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
