Description:
Fifty years have passed since the legendary Woodstock performance. Twenty years since his smash hit "Supernatural. Carlos Santana, the guitar god who has always led the scene, has taken his love and quest for music deeper and further afield. The new album from the Carlos Santana-led super band takes us back to Mother Nature, with full vocal participation from Buika, a Spanish singer from Majorca who has been described by NPR as "The Voice of Freedom" and listed as one of the "50 greatest vocalists of all time. Produced by Rick Rubin. This is the first album in three years since 2016's "Santana IV" by Santana, led by Carlos Santana, one of the guitar gods who has always led the scene with his unique fusion of rock, Latin, and jazz music. The album is produced by Rick Rubin, the founder of Def Jam and the master of many of the biggest hit albums of the past, from the Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Adele and Johnny Cash.Inspired by the sounds and rhythms of Africa, this is Santana's most ambitious attempt yet at what will surely be a powerful and unforgettable experience for all who hear it. The album features a selection of 49 songs (many of which were recorded in a single session) recorded in just 10 days. Another dramatic element of the album is the participation of Buika, a Latin Grammy Award-winning singer from Majorca, Spain. She's like Nina Simone, Etta James, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, and so many other great artists all rolled into one," says Santana. Santana said. Her angelic lead vocals add magic to the album.
