The STIHL RM 655 VS petrol lawn mower has a powerful Briggs and Stratton engine with ReadyStart technology for easy starting. With its Vario drive and a cutting width of 53cm/21″, it is the perfect mower for mowing large lawns. The central seven-setting cutting deck can easily be adjusted from 25 to 85 mm. During lawn mowing, the speed of the powerful engine always remains constant, even during changes in the drive speed, ensuring the mower is always working at its best. The mono-comfort handlebar gives uninterrupted access to the grass catcher box, making it so much easier to empty when full. For even more convenience, the blade brake clutch of the RM 655 VS allows you to disengage the blades with the engine running so you don’t have to restart after emptying the grass box. The fold-open 70l grass catcher box features an intergrated level indicator which lets you know when the grass needs emptying. Easy start engine (ReadyStart)

Thanks to the ReadyStart technology, the engine of the STIHL petrol lawn mower can be reliably started up with minimal effort both during cold and warm starting.

Vario self-drive

The Vario self-propulsion enables individual adaptation of the speed of the STIHL lawn mower to personal mowing habits and lawn conditions. The mowing speed can be infinitely varied using the control lever on the handlebar.

Mulching function

During mulching, the mulching blade shreds the mown grass before it falls back into the turf as a nutritional fertiliser. And with the appropriate mulching kit available as an optional accessory for this lawn mower, the machine can also be converted into a Multi-mower.

Multi-blade

Thanks to the specially shaped cutting blades, the multi-blade of the STIHL petrol lawn mower shreds the mown grass. When using the grass catcher box, it is then efficiently conveyed in the box. During mulch mowing, the mown grass is directly ejected onto the lawn so that it falls back onto the turf as a nutritional fertiliser.

The plastic grass catcher box can be easily opened and emptied thanks to its folding mechanism. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures a high degree of filling. Thanks to the downward-facing vanes, the air is guided sideways towards the ground, preventing dirt from being thrown up. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying. The airflow generated by the blade raises the level indicator. When the basket is full, the airflow stops. If the airflow is too low, the level indicator returns to its idle state and this is an indication to empty the catcher box.Optimal airflow is required in order for the level indicator to function fully. External influences such as wet, dense or tall grass, a low cutting height, contamination, etc. may affect the airflow and the performance of the level indicator.

Smooth running wheels

The smooth running wheels of the STIHL lawn mowers are extremely robust and hard-wearing. They have been equipped with a traction pattern and directional stability tread pattern for effortless manoeuvring and to help hold perfect line during mowing.

Blade Brake Clutch

The blade brake clutch disengages the blade and engine to protect the crankshaft. This allows the grass catcher box to be emptied without restarting the engine. The mower can also be driven around the garden without the blades working.

The super soft grip is comfortable to hold, especially when used over longer periods.
