Pero, the main character of "Puss in Boots," was first seen in the "Toei Comics Festival" released in March 1969. The lovable cat character instantly captured the hearts of the audience and became a huge hit. The film was subsequently shown in two revivals, attracting a wide range of fans. The character has been loved by many people for more than 50 years, and is also known as the symbol of Toei Animation. The Blu-ray collection of three classic animated films in which Perrot plays a major role is now available at a more affordable price. Based on the original story by Charles Perrault, the founder of European children's literature, the works included in this collection were created by a splendid staff that includes Koji Mori, who is working as animation director for the second time following "Prince Charming's Extermination of the Serpent," Hayao Miyazaki for original drawings, Hisashi Inoue for script, and Yumihiko Nakahara (currently Nobuhiko Kobayashi) for gag supervision, and have earned high praise. Puss in Boots" is a highly acclaimed film.
