A stunning Gustavian interior, reminiscent of the early evening hours or after a lovely holiday soiree. This midcentury painting captures a richly decorated salon in all its eccentric glory: scalloped chairs, layered rugs, mirrored arches, and gilt frames arranged with a collector’s eye.  There is a lit Christmas tree in the back right room, and the ceiling shadows are exquisite. The brushwork is fine and deliberate, allowing the artistry of the piece to shine. It comes unframed and it is a midcentury Swedish oil on canvas.
