【Jazz Signature: Nelson Fung x William Chan】以Double Bass與Eurorack發表原創作品

Nelson Fung 是香港備受推崇的低音提琴手，活躍於爵士、實驗音樂與古典樂領域。他不僅是「香港爵士教父」Ted Lo Trio與Bowen Li Trio 的低音提琴手，同樣是爵士推廣機構「Fountain de Chopin」的聯合創始人。

他創立了個人樂團 Nelson Fung & The Water，以香港詩作譜寫現代爵士樂曲，曾與唱作人黃衍仁合作。他的音樂足跡遍及流行樂界，其演奏與錄音作品見於 9m88、麥浚龍、JB、岑寧兒、江海迦等歌手的演唱會與專輯，近期更擔任 CityPop 致敬音樂會音樂總監，與歌手麗英合作。

此次演出受低音提琴手 Thomas Morgan 專輯《Around You Is A Forest》啟發，並融入 Eurorack 模組合成器，營造氛圍聲景。William 的吉他演奏則帶有丹麥吉他手 Jakob Bro 的空靈特質，與 Nelson 的低音線條展開層次豐富的對話。

演出以原創曲目為主，結合環境音樂與冥想氛圍，在低音提琴、吉他與電子聲響之間，構築一個沉浸式的聽覺空間。

Nelson Fung stands among Hong Kong's most respected bassists, maintaining an active presence across jazz, experimental, and classical music. He serves as the double bassist for both the Ted Lo Trio—led by the "Godfather of Hong Kong Jazz"—and the Bowen Li Trio, while also co-founding the jazz promotion organization Fountain de Chopin.

He leads his own ensemble, Nelson Fung & The Water, which sets contemporary Hong Kong poetry to modern jazz compositions and has collaborated with singer-songwriter Wong Yin-yan. His musicianship also extends deeply into popular music: his performances and recordings feature in concerts and albums by artists such as 9m88, Jun Kung, JB, Yoyo Sham, and AGA. More recently, he served as Music Director for a CityPop tribute concert featuring singer Lai Ying.

Inspired by bassist Thomas Morgan's album Around the Forest Is You, the duo will incorporate Eurorack modular synthesizers to craft atmospheric textures. William's guitar work carries the ethereal quality of Danish guitarist Jakob Bro, engaging Nelson's bass lines in a richly layered conversation.

The performance will center on original compositions that blend ambient music and meditative soundscapes, constructing an immersive auditory experience where double bass, guitar, and electronic sounds converge.
