Description:
An antique Swiss key wind pocket watch featuring a white enamel Roman numeral dial and gilt mechanical movement.

This example measures approximately 48.6mm case diameter and is housed in a base metal case with engine-turned rear cover and central cartouche. The watch winds but is not currently running, and is therefore being sold for spares, repair, or restoration.

The enamel dial features Roman numerals with subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock. There is a hairline crack to the dial and the seconds hand is missing. The movement appears complete with gilt plates and blued screws, typical of mid-to-late 19th century Swiss manufacture.

Key wound pocket watches such as this remain popular with collectors and restorers, particularly good sized examples suitable for restoration.
