The corners, top and base of spine are bumped, top beginning to fray, the binding is sound. The end papers and page edges are very age-toned. Hugh Prudden’s signature.  Text is slightly age-toned with very occasional foxing on some pages. The photo plates are on glossy paper that is clean and bright. The map  (1"=1 mile) 65 x 44cm, often missing, is very worn on folds and brown residue of old cellotape repairs on back show through and stain map. The book is in good condition, the map is in poor condition but complete.
