| ÕÌ_Applications | The anchor is made from Grade 5 Carbon Steel, and is Zinc Plated. This anchor is designed for use in Concrete, and should never be used in block or brick base material. |
| Environment | The anchor is designed for use in a Dry environment. ÕÌ_ |
| Head Style ÕÌ_ | The anchor is a Hex Washer Serrated head and is designed to allow the head to sit on top of the surface of the item being attached. |
| Hole Diameter/Bit Diameter | The anchor requires a 1/2" hole to be drilled in the base material (Concrete). The hole should be drilled with carbide tipped bit that meets ANSI standards and used in a hammer drill. |
| Driver Required | A 13/16" is required for driving the anchor into the base material. |
| Diameter of Anchor | The diameter of the anchor is 3/4". |
| Length Anchor ÕÌ_ | The length of the anchor is 6/-1/4 |
| Thread Length | The length of the threads on the anchor is in length. |
| Minimum Embedment | The minimum anchor embedment into the concrete is 2-3/4". Therefore, the anchor must be installed so that a minimum of 2-3/4" of the anchor is embedded into the concrete. |
| Maximum Fixture Thickness | The maximum fixture thickness or the maximum thickness of the material being fastened for a anchor is 1-1/4". This will ensure that the minimum embedment of 2-3/4" will be met. |
| Fixture Hole Diameter | The hole in the fixture or material being fastened must be larger than the designated diameter of the anchor. The 34" diameter anchor requires the hole in the fixture to be 3/4' |
| Spacing between Anchors | Each anchor must be spaced a minimum distance of 10" from each other when measured center to center. |
| Edge Distance | It is very important not to install the anchor any closer than 6" from an unsupported edge of the concrete. |

Red Head Large Diameter Tapcon Inch Anchor is a high performance anchor that cuts its own threads into concrete. The anchor bodies are made of hardened carbon steel and zinc plated, Grade 5. The anchors have a finished hex washer head with anti-rotation serrations to prevent anchor back-out, and the head of the anchor is stamped with a length identification code for easy inspection. The anchors should be installed with carbide tipped hammer drill bits made in accordance to ANSI B212.15-1994. Use standard ANSI bits instead of proprietary bits, which will reduce the chances for anchor failure due to incorrect bit usage, and will cut costs. The Large Diameter anchors install in less than half the time of wedge anchors or adhesive anchors, by simply drilling a pilot hole and drive the LDT anchor by hand or impact. They remove easily, no torching or grinding required to remove anchors. The Red Head anchors have a single piece design, no nut and washer to assemble, and more threads for better thread engagement and higher pullout resistance. The Large Diameter Tapcon anchors have closer edge/spacing distance than mechanical anchors, and higher loads in shallow embedments. ÕÌ_
