Prefab Sprout
Description:
Prefab Sprout releases the latest remastered analog version of their third album "From Langley Park to Memphis" (originally released in 1988), featuring Paddy McAloon, a songwriter of exceptional taste. Prefab Sprout's hit third album "Greetings from Langley Park" (original title: From Langley Park to Memphis). The first two songs on the album ("The King of Rock 'N' Roll," inspired by Elvis Presley, and "Cars and Girls," inspired by Bruce Springsteen) were the first ever light-hearted rock 'n' roll numbers, and became pop anthems representing the 1980s. It became one of the most popular pop anthems of the 80s. Paddy McAloon's ironic homage and admiration for American culture is the theme that runs through the album, and the beautiful melodies and unique lyrics are further refined.Guest artists Stevie Wonder on harmonica on "Nightingales" and Pete Townsend on guitar on "Hey Manhattan!" are among the album's highlights. The latest remastered soundtrack is now available on analog vinyl.
