Osaka-based duo Tolerance released two albums and a single on the famed DIY label Vanity Records before disbanding in the early 1980s. Combining minimalist electronics with post-punk rhythms and ambient noise, keyboardist Junko Tange and guitarist Masami Yoshikawa made some of the most groundbreaking music in a scene brimming with talent and vision.

Vinyl On Demand's Tolerance vinyl box set features the aforementioned three releases, along with a recently unearthed album-length piece entitled "Dose" and full LP of demos.

The complete recorded works of this rather mysterious band remains a truly essential document in the history of Japanese experimentalism.
