Join us for an evening of live figure drawing! In this session, Dave will guide you through tangible steps toward creating beautiful, expressive figure drawings! Working from a live, nude model, you'll begin each session with quick warm-up poses (30 seconds to 1 minute) and finish with a longer pose (20-40 minutes). No experience necessary! Recommended for ages 16+.

MATERIALS NEEDED
These are the supplies you'll need to bring for class—feel free to supplement this list with other options you love or have on hand!

• 12"x18" newsprint pad or other paper depending on your favorite medium!
• Drawing materials - we recommend willow charcoal, but any materials you prefer are welcome, even watercolor or Sumi ink!

If you'd like to purchase supplies from our shop, you can order online and select in-store pickup, or shop in person before class. Shop hours are 11am-6pm daily; please plan ahead if you're picking up supplies! Instructors will not have access to the shop when we're closed.

ABOUT INSTRUCTOR
Dave Muller has been a friend and an inspiration to our shop since before we even existed. He is a staple in our Outer Sunset neighborhood as an artist and fellow business owner. Dave has a way of making art that is both incredibly free, yet very detailed and precise, which creates a beautiful balance especially while working with watercolor. Dave shares our studio space with us and we always love to see what he is working on—we’re so excited to learn from him here, as well!

THINGS TO KNOW
If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible so we can open up your spot! We are only able to refund if we’re notified at least 48 hours prior to the workshop.

Workshop doors open 15 minutes early for all to arrive and get settled. Class will start promptly so everyone has plenty of time to create!

For public transit, both the #18 bus and the N-Judah muni lines stop just at the corner of our block. If you're driving, there is 1-hour parking along Judah St., and unmetered street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. We recommend building in extra time to park for evening and weekend classes!
