This Sneeboer Border Spade with Steps is the smaller of the two spades we are stocking from Sneeboer. 

Don't think its use is restricted to smaller work in borders, as it is equally at home working in a veg patch or allotment.  It's also great for those wanting a lighter weight tool, perhaps because they are being used all day.

Hand forged by Sneeboer in the Netherlands, who have been making and developing garden tools since 1913.  Now in the hands of 4th generation family members, Sneeboer use stainless steel to craft the ultimate tools for gardeners.  Their tools are the anthesis of the cheap trow away culture.  Built to last a lifetime and to be maintain in order to continue to perform like new.

It has a total length of 110cm and the handle is Ash.

The head is 23cm long and 15cm wide.

As this item is hand forged please expect to see some hammer marks and black coke marks on the surface.  These add to the unique character of each tool and do not affect the durability or quality of the tool in anyway.

The addition of the side steps on the head mean that you can get more leverage with a boot whilst digging.  It's massively more secure and also less likely to damage the sole of your boots.
