These 2" ratchet straps are a reliable staple in the transportation industry, offering the strength and durability needed for a wide range of cargo securement jobs. The polyester webbing is rugged enough for heavy-duty use yet soft enough to help protect your cargo. With very little stretch and built-in UV and water resistance, these straps deliver consistent holding power. The ratcheting mechanism makes it easy to apply the exact tension you need—something cam straps can’t match. They’re the perfect solution for loads that require more than a 1" strap but less bulk than a 4" strap.
These 2" tie down straps are designed with a longer fixed end than most standard straps, which positions the ratchet further from the anchor point for better accessibility. A sewn loop next to the ratchet provides a simple way to manage excess webbing—just wrap it up and tuck it in for a cleaner, safer setup.
The webbing is woven with slightly thicker yarn and more picks per inch than many competitors. Each strap end is heat-sealed to resist fraying. These features give the strap superior resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting, ensuring long-lasting performance in demanding conditions.
The zinc-coated ratchet assembly includes a long, wide handle with a smooth grip, giving you more control and leverage for easier strap tensioning.
Twisted snap hooks are an excellent choice for auto tie downs, as they connect easily to axle straps with D-rings. The twisted orientation improves maneuverability and allows the strap to sit flat against your cargo for a more secure fit. Each hook includes a spring-loaded keeper that closes automatically to ensure a strong, reliable connection every time.
All of US Cargo Control's ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.
Learn more about proper load handling and securement in the WSTDA safety bulletins.
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
