Los Retros is the solo project of Mauri Tapia, a 19-year-old Mexican-American from Oxnard, California, who began playing guitar at the age of 8. Los Retros' sound is at once nostalgic and new, nostalgic and exotic. The dreamy, retrospective sound of guitar tones, smooth beats, and keyboards is a perfect example of Los Retros' unique and exotic sound, which is influenced by latin, soul, and soft rock.The most notable feature is Los Retros' original melody line and sweet voice full of personality! He has absorbed a variety of classic music from soul, Latin, AOR, soft rock, psychedelic, etc. and has unleashed a completely new sensibility of modern vintage pop music unique to Southern California!
